Artist's Comments

Every year the Dressage and Combined Training club has a Christmas party, and at it they have a gift auction to raise money for the club.

If you recal, I drew "The Essence of Perfection" for this auction last christmas. I got alot of comments on it, and a couple people who said I shouldn't have wraped it...

So anyway, this is my drawing for this year's party, and I will take it unwraped to make people happy (mostly so that they know what they are bidding on!).

This is from one of MightySquirell's beautiful photos! This particular one to be exact [link]

So far I'm pretty satisfied with the result. Though I will probably tweak and add to the muzzel and maybe the braids some... but I figured I better scan it in now and show it to ya'll since I dunno if I'll get that chance tomarrow before the party.

This is Graphite Pencil (mostly 2B) on Bristol Board, dimensions are 8"x10". Prints may be for sale if interested.
Took oh, about 10 hours.

Wow. The details on the bridle and braids in particular are just killing me. So spectacular. I can't even form a coherent comment because it's just that friggin awesome. e_e

Good god. How could you auction that off for a club? >_> If I'd drawn it, I wouldn't part with it for the world.

Oh my gosh. This is beautiful! It looks very much like a photograph, that's how good it is! The shadows on the head and neck are excellent. I faved it of course. :D

:aww: Thanks! lol, yeah, I dunno, I like it, but what I am going to do with it? Least, that's how I figure it (so that I can sell stuff without feeling regret... most of the time anyway). I'm always doing new drawings and such, and I'd much rather see things hanging in people's house's rather than sitting around in a pile in my house.

Thanks again for the great comment!

:glomp: Thanks for the comment and fave! :D My only wish is that my darn scanner wouldn't make things so sketchy looking, it drives me nuts. Thanks again!

I don't know. I'd probably stick it on the ceiling above my bed and stare at it. For hours. Because it's just that hot. >>

...I'm not crazy. Nuuuuu.

You're very welcome. My pleasure! I don't deal with a scanner for that reason. Luckily enough I have access to a good digital camera. Still not perfect, but it'll do. :)

Yeah, we bought a digital camera that was actually pretty good, then I went and busted it by dropping it in sand and water. So we are still waiting for a new one (maybe for christmas I'm hoping!).
